About the Chef

Stella Spanou

Born in Chalkidiki and raised in the Metropolitan area of Thessaloniki – Greece, Stella Spanou is a professional executive chef, cookbook author, restaurant advisor, culinary teacher and awarded photographer.
Nurtured on local and traditional cooking methods she discovered her culinary passion during childhood while cooking with her beloved grandmother.
Stella’s cooking focuses on native Greek cooking techniques, provenance, local ingredients, fresh flavours, renovated traditional recipes using high quality ingredients and minimal spices.
Stella is a member of the Hellenic Chef’s Association and one of the well known female chefs across Greece, featured in magazines, newspapers and online articles.
The Chef is illuminated by her easygoing spirit, contagious laughter and is dedicated to an openhearted, honest cooking that reflects the country of Greece using seasonal local produce and making the most of what the boundless Greek nature has to offer.
